ROSIN CORE: Used for electrical work because the residues which remain after soldering are non-corrosive and non-conductive. This prevents damage to delicate wires.
ACID CORE: Used for general purpose work because of its chemical action. It will cut through heavy tarnishes and oxides. Not for electrical work due to the residues that remain after soldering.
SOLID WIRE: Used on big jobs where more solder is required. When using solid wire solder it is always necessary to also use flux.
LEAD FREE: Used on copper plumbing or hot water tanks, refrigeration Systems or applications that require high strength. Each type of solder has a lead-free product.
SILVER SOLDER: Used for high strength repairs, and to join all metals except aluminum, magnesium and pot-metal. Ideal for stain less steel.
