Rivet & Thread Insert Installation Tool

• VERSATILE INSTALLATION - Two tools in one. One tool installs blind rivets from 1/8" to 1/4" and the other installs threaded inserts in sizes M5 - M8 and 10-24, 1/4-20 and 5/16-18.
  Replaces "expendable" placing tools and hand riveters.
• INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  Blind Rivets:
  1) Drill the appropriate-sized hole in the work piece.
  2) With the correct nose piece installed in the tool, insert the rivet mandrel into the tool and place the rivet into the work piece.
  3) Close the handles of the tool, multiple times if necessary, until the rivet stem shears off. Open the handles to allow the stem to drop out of the rear of the tool.
  Thread Inserts:
  1) Drill the appropriate-sized hole in the work piece.
  2) Install the appropriate-sized thread insert mandrel onto the tool.
  3) Thread the rivet nut about half way onto the mandrel (if the rivet nut is installed too far, the insert will not seat properly into the work piece).
  4) Place the thread insert into the previously drilled hole in the work piece.
  5) Compress the handles of the tool to efficiently bulge/ flatten the thread insert.
  6) Remove the tool from the installed thread insert by turning the mandrel.
